Coming Week's Goals

So many cultures need workups! Oh my! Here's the short list:

• Isthmus
• Brits
• 15 Provinces
• Warders
• Archipelago/Vodun culture
• Pirate Kingdoms
• Nords

Hopefully, once the cultures are fleshed out more, I can do page writeups of my major characters (not all of which have real names yet). Again, the list is:

• Louisa
• Sundi
• Thorne
• The Admiral
• Roger
• Jessebah

Can't wait to do Jessebah. Had a breakthrough about her today and besides Louisa (who I can feel and just about see now), Jessebah is the first one who is actually talking to me. Well, more chortling and mumbling to herself. But I've got the feel of the cadence of her thoughts. She is a sneaky, rather nasty girl with a well developed social shell. But I know what she's really up to. She's the reason I've been watching Wire In The Blood, and wondering if really, I shouldn't be watching this kind of stuff... for my own peace of mind. Oh Ms Jessebah, I can't wait to dig into you my girl.

Thorne, though, is being particularly ellusive and driving me NUTS. Was surfing the web looking for pictorial inspiration and, against my better judgement, found a particularly disturbing closeup of Ewan McGregor that somehow had a distinct flash of Thorne in his eyes. And here I was sure Thorne had black hair. Ah well, he's my complicated boy. And Roger, completing the about face Thorne started, turns out to look a lot like Brian McCardie did in Rob Roy (playing Alasdair MacGregor to Liam Neeson's Rob).

So, next week it's more background work and character writeups. Groovy times.
